Nazareth, Pennsylvania Wedding

The sun was shining. The birds were chirping. The sky was blue. The perfect day for a December wedding.

Thanks to COVID, what was supposed to be my second-to-last wedding of 2023, ended up being my last wedding of 2023. A few weeks prior to their wedding day, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Alicia and Bruce to capture their engagement photos. I remember thinking that their wedding day was probably going to be frigid (like ours was back in November of 2019).

So when I woke up on December 16 and saw that it was supposed to be 55 degrees and sunny, I couldn’t believe it. Fall of 2023 was an incredibly rainy season, so I was looking forward to shooting a wedding where the sun was shining. And let me tell you, the sun did not disappoint.

When I sit down to write these blog posts, I like to reflect on the day and think some of the many special moments from the day. While there were so many special moments during Bruce and Alicia’s wedding, the ceremony was extra special. There is just something so powerful about two people becoming one, and pledging their lives to each other in front of their closest friends and family. The ceremony began and ended with worship and Bruce and Alicia washed each other’s feet, which Eric and I did at our wedding.

From the moment I arrived, to the moment I left, it was evident how much Alicia and Bruce were loved by their family and friends. They are two of the most kind, selfless, and genuine people, and it was so evident that they are in love. And even though it was her wedding day, Alicia went out of her way to make sure her best friend, who was her matron of honor, felt loved and cared for on her birthday.

Alicia and Bruce, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of such a significant day in your lives. I’m so excited for you both as you venture on this new journey as husband and wife. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from your day. I hope you cherish these for years to come!
