Happy December friends! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged. With caring for a very active almost 6 month old, it is harder to find time to sit down and get long stretches of work done. Additionally, we have been doing a lot of traveling to visit family during the holidays. But life is so sweet, and I’ve been loving this season of life.
A few weeks ago, while we were in PA for Thanksgiving, I had the opportunity to meet up with Bruce and Alicia to capture some engagement photos for them. While this was my first time officially meeting Bruce, Alicia and I have known each other for years. Back when we were kids, we attended the Father/Daughter retreats at Haycock Camp in Bucks County, PA. We attended with our dads and our older sisters. I have many memories of canoeing on the lake, staying up way past our bedtime in the lodge, and dressing up for the Saturday night banquet.
Last August, I had the opportunity to capture Jeni and Steve’s wedding. Jeni is Alicia’s older sister, who also attended Haycock with us. I remember seeing Bruce and Alicia together and seeing how in love they looked (although they were not engaged at the time). Fast forward to May 6, 2023 and Bruce popped the question to Alicia at a park. What he had no planned for though, was the kite festival that was going on that same day (although I’m sure this added an extra romantic layer to the day).
Romantic, down-to-earth, and in-love are the words I would use to describe Alicia and Bruce’s relationship. From the moment we started taking pictures at their engagement session, I could see the sparkle in both of their eyes. There is no doubt these two love each other and are so excited to start their journey as husband and wife.
Alicia and Bruce are tying the knot in just eight days, and I am so excited that they have asked me to capture their special day. Alicia and Bruce, I hope you cherish these photos for years to come and enjoy the last few days before you become husband and wife! See you soon!
