Happy Halloween! As much as I love the crisp fall air, warm cups of coffee, and vibrant colors, nothing can beat digging my toes in the sand at the beach! In less than two months, Christine and Luke will say “I do!” I did not want to miss out on the opportunity to share a few of my favorite shots from their beach engagement session (especially because I really miss the beach right now…
One of the coolest things about doing photos for people is their “history”. It is exciting getting to meet a client before a wedding day, or at a session, but it is especially exciting to be able to do a session for people I have grown up with. Christine and I go all the way back to 3rd grade. We were involved in the same Wednesday night program at our church. Back then, we exchanged phone numbers and promised to be “best friends.”
Fast forward to high school. Like most little kids, the promise to be best friends usually falls through (it was neither of our faults, it just kind of happened). Christine got re-involved with the church during high school, and we adventured through youth group together. (Those small group beach trips are hard to forget!) Throughout high school, Luke was in the picture. His older brother Ben played worship for youth group, and his younger brother Luke eventually followed suit. Christine and Luke started dating in high school, and I guess you could say the rest is history!!
Luke popped the big question in August of 2017, and the wedding date is set for December 2017! Currently, Luke is actively involved with leading the young adult bible study at our church while finishing school. Christine, aside from wedding planning, is working full time as a physical therapy assistant. So excited for you both and eager to see what God has in store for your future!
