Hall of Springs Engagement Session | Julia & Connor

Happy October friends! It’s hard to believe another month of 2024 is over! Summer and fall have been flying by for me, but I’ve been soaking in every day of this gorgeous weather with my family and my photography clients.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Connor and Julia at the Hall of Springs to capture their engagement session. They will be getting married at the Otesaga Resort Hotel next fall! From the moment I met Julia and Connor, I knew that I wanted to capture their wedding! They are both lawyers, and value time with their family and friends. Additionally, they have a 2 year old puppy and enjoy spending time hiking outside. They have officially been together for 7 years and met back when they were in law school. Connor popped the question to Julia this past January while they were celebrating Christmas with her family.

After meeting Julia and Connor at Panera a few months ago, I could instantly tell how in love they are with each other. And boy did that come out when we met up for their photos. Despite the heat, and a very crowded area (thanks to a concert and a wedding), you would’ve thought we were the only people in Saratgoa that Sunday evening. The way Connor and Julia look at each other is something that cannot be created, only captured.

Prior to meeting up with clients for their engagement session, I like to ask them what they enjoy spending their time doing. If they have a shared activity or hobby together, I encourage them to bring props that we can incorporate into their photos. Well, Connor enjoys golfing, so we ended the session with some fun golf shots! These ended up being some of my favorite photos from the evening, especially since golden hour was showing off. While I am not a golf photographer, it was so fun to add a flare of creativity to an already amazing session.

Connor and Julia, thank you for entrusting me with such a special and important part of your wedding day! If your wedding is half as fun as your engagement session was, I know it will be a special and memorable day! Enjoy this season of wedding planning and engagement. I can’t wait to capture your wedding in less than a year!
