Happy Tuesday friends! So I know I say this every month, but it is really hard to believe that it is October already! We are full-swing into fall and the weather is finally starting to feel like fall. October is my birthday month, which typically means I treat myself a little more, or we go on a fun trip. This year, we are planning to go up to Lake Placid for the day on my birthday and enjoy the fall foliage! It is my hope to get a photo for our Christmas card, so stay tuned!
Anyway, a few weeks ago, I had the honor of capturing the wedding of Cate and Phil DiLorenzo! I had the pleasure of meeting Cate last year at Albany Medical Center, where I work as a nurse. Cate is Physical Therapist, and a darn good one if you ask me. Cate and Phil met on Tinder, which is special as I met Eric on E-harmony. Sadly, her and Phil were one of the many couples who’s wedding plans got de-railed thanks to COVID. When she found out I was a wedding photographer, we set a date for engagement photos and a tentative date for the wedding. Their original plan was to get married in May, but thankfully they pushed it until September. I was in the midst of going through my cancer treatment in May, so I was grateful to have a few extra months to recover and finish treatment.
Everything about Cate and Phil’s wedding was a dream! All of the details were gorgeous and the vendors were awesome to work with! They also did a first look, which I always recommend to every single couple. As a result, we were able to get most of the photos out of the way prior to the ceremony, allowing Cate and Phil to fully enjoy cocktail hour and the reception. I originally chose of 350 photos for the blog post, and managed to narrow them down to under 200. Cate and Phil, thank you for trusting me with such an important moment in your life! I hope you cherish these photos for many years to come!
