Happy 2025 friends! It’s hard to believe that we are almost a month into this new year already. I feel like the days are dragging, but time is flying. Perhaps it’s because I’m 5 days away from being 40 weeks pregnant with my second baby, but I think the cold and late afternoon sunsets do not help the days go by any quicker. So, as I wait for baby girl to arrive, I figured I would use this time to blog an awesome Catskill, NY wedding from this past August.
If you’ve been following me for any period of time, you perhaps have seen that I second shoot for a few photographers here and there. One photographer is the amazing Rebecca Loomis Photography. Check out this blog post from a wedding we did together in Cooperstown, NY. Not only is she a fellow work colleague, but she’s also one of my dearest friends. She’s the equivalent of my work wife. We are now at the point where we can communicate just by looking at each other, and we can anticipate what the other person is thinking.
One of the benefits of second shooting is that I get to bond with the groom and his groomsmen. As a sister to six brothers, I have no shortage of experience hanging out with guys. As much as I love spending time with the bride and her girls, it’s fun for me to get to see how the groom and his buddies spend the hours leading up to the wedding ceremony. Nick and his friends enjoy playing golf, and enjoyed spending the morning hanging out and smoking cigars. Despite the August heat and humidity, they were down for doing what they needed to for some awesome photos.
Thank you Becca for allowing me the pleasure of working alongside you at this gorgeous Catskill, NY wedding. I will let the photos speak for themselves, but Madison and Nick had the most perfect day surrounded by their friends and family!
