It all began when Joseph sent a virtual rose to Diana on March 15, 2009…
A few months ago, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Diana and Joseph at Panera to chat through their wedding day. Upon meeting them, I knew I absolutely wanted to capture their wedding day. Diana and Joseph are two of the kindest people I have ever met, and their love for each other shines through everything they do.
Joseph is from New Mexico, so after they connected online, Diana bravely made the trip down to meet him and his family. It was practically love at first sight. Joseph eventually moved from New Mexico to New York to be with Diana, but had no desire to get married. He always said he would never marry.
Fast forward to 2023, and after enduring some health struggles, Joseph decided he did in fact want to get married. He asked Diana to be his wife on Christmas, and soon after they started planning their dream wedding day. Since March 15, 2024 was a Friday, they decided that their 15 year anniversary of when they met would be the perfect time to get married.
Another quality I admire about Diana and Joseph is their love for and value of family. Since none of Joseph’s family was able to travel to NY for the wedding, photos were very important to them. Additionally, Diana’s mother has recently had some health struggles, and Diana did not think she would be able to attend the wedding. But thankfully, she was able to be at the wedding, and boy did she look good!
Joseph has faithfully worked at the James T. Foley Courthouse the past several years, so they decided to have a courthouse ceremony, followed by a small reception with their close friends and family at the Renaissance Albany Hotel. I will let the photos speak for themselves, but it was the perfect day of love, friends, and family.
