Catskill, New York Wedding

There are not many times in life where I am at a loss for words..but today as I sit down to write this blog post, I do not even know what to say…

Just a few months ago, after doing family photos for dear friends, I received a message from Heather. Heather and her fiancé Shawn were getting married in only a few short weeks and were still in need of a wedding photographer. The date of their wedding just happened to be the only Saturday in August that I had not already booked a wedding (God works in mysterious ways).

After meeting Heather and Shawn over zoom, I just knew I had to shoot their magical backyard wedding in Catskill, New York.

If I had to pick three words to describe their wedding I would pick magical, God-honoring, and intimate. From the intricate decor her dad made, to the dainty jewelry Heather wore, the day was everything and more that a bride could hope for her wedding.

Additionally, the bridal party was AMAZING! Their love for Shawn and Heather was evident as they did not hesitate to do anything they could to serve the bride and groom. On the flip side, Shawn and Heather’s love for each other and for their family and friends was contagious!

Heather and Shawn, it is not an understatement when I say I am obsessed with you two. Thank you for inviting me to capture such a special day! You two are a power couple, and I know God is going to use you both in great ways! Enjoy these photos and enjoy the great gift of marriage!
