One month ago, I had the joy of celebrating Wayne and Laura’s wedding day — a day filled with deep emotion, intentional details, and the kind of love that feels steady and sincere.
Their morning unfolded with quiet anticipation as they prepared for the day ahead. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen, from Laura’s finishing touches to the meaningful moments shared with family. Later, they met for a private first look — a space intentionally carved out for just the two of them to slow down and soak it all in before the celebration began.
Their ceremony at Our Lady of the Cross Church was nothing short of moving. But to truly understand the weight of that walk down the aisle, you have to know their story.
Wayne and Laura’s relationship began during COVID — long-distance, with Laura in New York and Wayne stationed in Antarctica for the military. Oceans apart, uncertain times, and yet they chose each other. Distance didn’t weaken their connection; it strengthened it.
Over the years, Lake George became part of their rhythm — especially in the fall. And during peak foliage in 2024, Wayne proposed at the top of Prospect Mountain. Laura didn’t stop smiling the entire day. It was simple, meaningful, and completely them.
One of the most unforgettable moments of their wedding day came when Laura walked down the aisle. Even though they had already shared a first look, Wayne burst into tears the second he saw her. It was a beautiful reminder that intentional, private moments don’t take away from the aisle moment — they often make it even sweeter. The room was filled with emotion, and there truly weren’t many dry eyes.
As a former ICU nurse and now a mom of two, I’ve learned to notice the subtle shifts — the deep breath before walking down the aisle, the way a hand tightens during a prayer, the tears welling up before they fall. Those quiet, in-between moments matter just as much as the portraits. I guide couples through confident, natural posing, but I’m always watching for the moments that unfold on their own — because that’s where the real story lives.
Wayne and Laura, thank you for trusting me to capture your love story. It was an honor to witness a day that reflected not only your love for each other, but your hearts for serving others. I hope these images allow you to relive every tear, every laugh, and every beautiful detail for years to come.
