Happy fall friends! If you asked me what my favorite season is, I would probably say fall. What makes me sad about fall though is the cold weather that seems to come way too quickly and hang around forever.
A few weeks ago, I got to enjoy the last of the summer weather by doing maternity pictures for Chris and Larisa. Like a lot of my clients, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Larisa through Albany Med. We are both nurses and have worked together the past several years. As we got to know each other better, we soon realized that both of us were trying to get pregnant. A few months after I got pregnant, I was thrilled to find out that Larisa was pregnant!
Maternity sessions have always been special to me. But after being pregnant and having a baby, they hold a special place in my heart. Pregnancy is hard. For many, it is a really long road to conceive. And when you finally do get pregnant, is a struggle to deal with the many symptoms that come along with pregnancy. It is so worth it, but it is also hard to get through the nausea, fatigue, and your body ever changing each and every week.
Most women, and this was true for me, start to feel super uncomfortable in the third trimester. So I love the chance to make pregnant mamas feel truly beautiful, and also have fun with their man during their maternity session. While pregnancy feels super long most days (guys 9 months is a long time), it certainly goes by fast. I’m so grateful for the many couples who trust me with capturing such a special time in their lives.
Chris and Larisa you guys absolutely rocked your maternity session! I am beyond excited for you to become parents to your sweet little boy soon! I hope you cherish these photos for a lifetime!
