Massachusetts Birthday Party

Happy Saturday friends! Does anyone else feel like it is still July or is it just me? I’m having a hard time getting ready for fall with it still being really hot and humid! Anyway, I feel like life has flown by even faster now that summer is over. Between working a lot of hours at the hospital and church activities, the rest of my time is filled up with running my business. I have absolutely loved the variety of sessions I have had the past few months.

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of being a part of a magical birthday party! A few months ago, I had the pleasure of doing photos of a christening. This was the first time I had really done photos of a party that was not a wedding. And let me tell you, it was quite the party! But I was not sure what to expect last week when I hopped in the car and traveled a little under two hours to Springfield, Massachusetts. Cynthia, a woman I met at the christening, was looking for a photographer for her daughter’s third birthday party. Caris is a sweet, three year old who looks, acts like, and talks like a princess. Some three-year olds do not enjoy getting their photo taken, but Caris is a natural behind the camera. Her smile lights up the room and her laughter is contagious!

When I arrived at the party, Elsa from My Dream Party LLC, arrived. The first hour of the party was spent singing let it go, playing princess games, and reading books. After Elsa left, Scout the “unicorn” arrived. Also a natural behind the camera, Scout patiently let the children hop on his back for pony rides and pose for photos. The rest of the party was filled with swimming, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, cake, pizza, and dancing. Caris, I hope your third birthday party was one you will always remember!
